1.4.2019 — In April, 'Mladí Ladí Jazz', the annual International Youth Jazz Festival in Prague, will bring seven evenings of concerts where world renowned stars will be performing, workshops and, of course, the traditional youth competition 'Jazzfruit'. The festival is looking for talents in contemporary jazz and the experimental scene from the Czech Republic and abroad, and introduce them to the public. Its main goal is to bring the attention of a young audience back to jazz music and restore traditions of this music in the Czech Republic.

31.1.2020 — The Stolen Wildlife' ('Ukradená divočina') exhibition was originally created for Ostrava Zoo. After being displayed in Hodonín Zoo, it has now arrived in Prague Zoo, where it can be seen in front of the Education Centre.

17.1.2020 — Selected photographs from the 25th annual Czech Press Photo are being exhibited in the Old Town Hall.

30.4.2019 — Originating from a pagan feast, 'pálení čarodějnic' or 'čarodějnice' for short, a Czech version of Saint Walpurgis Night, has become a folk custom and tradition.

30.10.2019 — Like every year, Prague Botanical Garden is getting ready for the Halloween celebrations on the last day of October. Pumpkin carving, games, competitions, a bonfire and, of course, a pumpkin parade will be part of the celebrations. Come and join the Halloween celebrations in Prague Botanical Garden.

30.6.2019 — After the winter break, the new season of summer cinema has begun again. Open-air cinemas in Prague traditionally attract visitors every year from the beginning of June until the end of September. And the programme of films on offer is truly varied, including blockbusters and award-winning films, and less well-known films. So where can you enjoy screenings under the stars?

29.12.2019 — If you come to the National Museum of Agriculture in Prague before the 1st of August 2020, you will be able to admire a photo exhibition called 'Jindřich Štreit and Cycles'. Jindřich Štreit is a world-renowned Czech photographer and according to him, agriculture is his life theme.

6.6.2008 — V souvislosti s konáním sportovně společenské akce CZECH BIGMAN (cyklistika, běh) bude v sobotu 7. června 2008 od 7.00 do 18.00hod uzavřena ulice Strakonická ve směru do centra v úseku hranice hl. m. Prahy až po přemostění do Malé Chuchle.

20.9.2011 — Vítěz Grantu Prahy Czech Press Photo 2009 Milan Jaroš předal dnes primátorovi hlavního města Prahy Bohuslavu Svobodovi dvě paré souboru svých nejlepších fotografií. Ty budou sloužit pro archivní a výstavní účely.  Tématem jeho grantového projektu bylo Jak se žije lidem s handicapem v Praze.

26.9.2019 — RefuFest is a festival that creates space for people from all over the world to meet and express solidarity with refugees. Discover other cultures thanks to music, dance, theatre and other forms of cultural expression. The festival will take place in Invalidovna in Karlín in Prague on the 27th and 28th of September, while Thursday the 27th of September is reserved for schools.

25.10.2019 — The first official aerial sports championships in the Czech Republic and Slovakia will begin in Prague. You can come and see the elegant sport, where acrobats dance in the air with the aid of scarves, on the 26th of October in Královské Vinohrady. Aerobics and fitness are not as popular as adrenaline-filled sports. However, aerial acrobatics has recently experienced a great boom. And it's not just about the competition. Like any sport, aerial dancing can be practiced for fun.

7.4.2020 — A nationwide project to support theatres, concert halls, clubs and artists has been launched. 'NIC' tickets have been on sale since the 1st of April. 'Nic' means 'nothing' in Czech and that is the aim of this project - as cultural events cannot take place, cultural institutions and artists need your support. According to Hana Třeštíková, Prague City Councillor for Culture, Czech people are inventive, so instead of simply asking for donations, they came up with a plan to sell tickets for 'non-existing' cultural events, which will (not) take place on the 1st of May.

19.9.2019 — An exhibition dedicated to the 600th anniversary of the birth of the Czech king Wenceslas IV (Václav IV.) is on in the Imperial Stables of Prague Castle until the 3rd of November. It will display the era of his rule, as well as Gothic art and architecture from around 1400 AD.

15.10.2012 — Primátor hlavního města Prahy Bohuslav Svoboda (ODS) včera v Rezidenci primátora vybral pro další Grant Prahy fotografa Tomáše Nováka. Ten bude fotit sérii fotografií na téma „Praha na okraji.“

11.11.2009 — Pilotní projekt LED svítidel spustilo město 11. listopadu 2009 a tuto převratnou novinku tak zapsalo do historického vývoje veřejného osvětlení v hlavním městě. Dynamický rozvoj technologie LED stále pokračuje a v brzké budoucnosti přispěje i v oblasti veřejného osvětlení ke snížení spotřeby energie, pozitivně ovlivní náklady na údržbu či umožní větší kreativitu při návrzích designu svítidel. LED diody nejprve rozsvítí oblast pražského Smíchova, a to například v ulicích Radlická, Ostrovského, Stroupežnického či Klicperova. Město hodlá nejdříve sledovat odolnost a spolehlivost osvětlení a získávat potřebné zkušenosti s jeho praktickým používáním. Poté jej plánuje dále rozšiřovat.

7.9.2020 — V úterý bude v areálu pražského Výstaviště slavnostně zahájen třítýdenní festival kultury. Hlavním cílem festivalu je podpořit umělce, nabídnout Pražanům multižánrový program a podpořit tak návrat kulturního a společenského života.

20.5.2021 — Do pražských ulic vyjela 19. května 2021 kloubová nízkopodlažní tramvaj Škoda 14T ev. č. 9121, která je jako první opatřena novým barevným řešením podle výsledků soutěže na novou vizuální identitu Pražské integrované dopravy. Po testovacím autobusu Dopravního podniku hl. m. Prahy (DPP) SOR NB12 ev. č. 3694, který v novém nátěru vyjel v loňském roce, uvidí cestující, jak nová jednotná podoba vozidel Pražské integrované dopravy vypadá.
