23.3.2019 — Prague City Gallery is preparing a very unusual concert. On the 26th of March in 'Dům U Kamenného zvonu' (The Stone Bell House) in 'Staroměstské náměstí' (Old Town Square), the British artist Lee Patterson will bring you the world of his art. This musician, sound artist and designer of experimental musical instruments could possibly be described as a sound sculptor. Patterson lives and works in Prestwich near Manchester, UK.

25.4.2019 — From the 26th to the 28th April 2019, nineteen galleries will take part in the third annual Gallery Weekend Prague.

23.4.2019 — The second annual Art Week festival will invite the public to various venues all over Prague from the 22nd to the 28th of April 2019.

24.5.2019 — On the 25th of May 2019, Břevnov Monastery, the most important ecclesiastical centre of its time, will hold 'Středověké slavnosti' (a Medieval Festival) for the sixth time. As usual, visitors can look forward to a varied programme for all age groups.

26.7.2019 — New Town Hall (Novoměstská radnice) and the Municipal District Prague 2 have prepared an interesting programme for the anniversary of the First Defenestration of Prague, from the 27th to the 31st of July. You can take part in guided tours, an open-air cinema in the New Town Hall courtyard and other events in Charles Square (Karlovo náměstí).

31.5.2019 — The season of food festivals is in full swing, with Prague Ice Cream Festival kicking off on the 2nd of June in Prague Exhibition Grounds (Výstaviště Praha).

17.5.2019 — On the 18th of May 2019, the next annual Prague Proms International Festival, a prominent summer gala by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, will start. Visitors will enjoy great concerts of classical, film and jazz music. The annual participation of top foreign artists is evidence that this is a prestigious project. Celebrities such as opera singer Edita Gruber, conductor Marcello Rota, Swedish trumpeter Lasse Lingren, saxophonist Brandford Marsalise and his Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra - one of the best active big bands in the world, phenomenal soprano Anna Netrebko, and the big band Buddy Roche all accepted the invitation, along with many other big-name artists.

4.8.2022 — Během první etapy rekonstrukce Barrandovského mostu se využije nová technologie vysokopevnostního betonu, která prodlouží životnost mostu až na 100 let. Pro stavbu to bude znamenat prodloužení o zhruba 30 dnů.

8.5.2019 — On Saturday, the 11th of May, Prague Castle will officially open the summer tourist season. The seat of the Czech heads of state is on this day open to visitors completely for free. Apart from the opening of the summer season, the 100th anniversary of the Office of the President of the Republic will also be celebrated.

2.4.2014 — Orchestr BERG se v letošní sezóně inspiruje tématem města. Dubnový koncert se proto uskuteční na Novoměstské radnici, kterou stejně jako Nové Město Pražské založil Karel IV. Společně s Orchestrem BERG vystoupí dva fenomenální čeští sólisté, harfistka Jana Boušková a klavírista Ivo Kahánek. V atraktivním programu obsahujícím i jednu světovou premiéru se tak rozezní doslova stovky strun. Součástí koncertu je i prohlídka Novoměstské radnice.

26.7.2017 — Hlavní město zmodernizuje některé své budovy tak, aby byly energeticky méně náročné. Týká se to především objektů mezi Mariánským a Staroměstským náměstím, tedy Nové radnice, Městské knihovny, Nové úřední budovy a Staroměstské radnice. Zvolena byla moderní metoda energetických služeb se zaručenými úsporami energie, nazývaná zkráceně jako EPC (z anglického Energy Performance Contracting).

13.2.2024 — V pondělí 11. března 2024 vyjede na Barrandovský most těžká technika a začnou tak hlavní práce třetí etapy rekonstrukce mostu. Technická správa komunikací hl. m. Prahy (TSK) prostřednictvím svého dodavatele, společnosti PORR, zahájí další etapu rozsáhlé rekonstrukce nejvytíženější dopravní tepny v České republice. Takto významné dopravní omezení je nicméně nutné připravit v předstihu a řidiči musí počítat s postupným omezováním dopravy již od soboty 9. března. Postupná instalace přenosného dopravního značení bude trvat zhruba dva dny až do pondělního rána, kdy začne samotná stavba. V letošním roce jsou naplánovány dvě poslední etapy, které na sebe budou plynule navazovat, a tím se celková rekonstrukce zkrátí o jeden rok.
